Stefan Hepner is a graphic designer, illustrator, and multimedia artist who was born in Poland and studied graphic design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice and Warsaw. He specialized in poster design under the guidance of Henryk Tomaszewski, who is considered the father of the postwar Polish poster. He then continued his studies at the Ecole Supérieure d’Arts Graphiques in Paris, France with Roman Cieslewicz, a renowned graphic designer.

Hepner started his career as an illustrator for major press magazines and advertising agencies before discovering the Apple computer in the late 1980s. He became one of the pioneers of digital illustration in France and began researching the burgeoning field of multimedia. He created a number of websites and CD-ROMs to explore the possibilities of new media.

In 1998, Hepner moved to New York and worked as an art director for several web design and consulting agencies, as well as a freelance web designer and consultant. During this time, he gained extensive experience in different technologies used in antique and modern furniture and began working on product and furniture design.

Currently, Hepner works in his studio, combining traditional techniques with computer technology in art and design. He continues to explore new media and technologies, creating works that are both innovative and visually striking.
